Orientation for new students is held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:00 a.m. the parent and student must attend.

Capital City Alternative School is committed to equipping students with the skills and knowledge that is necessary to be successful in their home schools, communities and throughout their lives, with the cooperation and support of all stakeholders.
Goals
The goal of the Capital City Alternative School is to provide an educational setting appropriate to the needs of students by:
Providing each student with an individual instructional plan to enhance progress toward promotion, graduation and/or GED attainment
Ensuring that students receive individual and group counseling and social services
Developing positive self-concepts through programmatic offerings, which provide a measure of success
Creating a climate where students feel safe in the educational environment
